I recently had the opportunity to visit Leiria, Portugal, where I have a photo in the fotografar palavras show on at Museum of the Moving Image (MIMO). The project pairs literary texts with photographic images. In my case, this passage from Marcia Oliveira:
‘I walked all day. With my eyes I have photographed gestures and emotions. Already in bed, I have revealed them in the dark room of my memories. You weren’t there.’
It was an honour to meet writer and curator of the project, Paulo Kellerman there. The project has been an incredibly inspiring way to activate my archive of photos. I look forward to seeing where else my continuing adventures with the still image can take me in the future.
